Maureen Valenti comes to The Ortho Remedy with a degree in Physical Therapy, specializing in Prosthetics. Her 20 years experience in treating patients in both acute care and rehabilitation facilities affords her the opportunity to integrate training techniques while fitting patients with prosthetic devices. Using state of the art equipment she readily performs gait analysis and training on site to enhance a patient’s gait. To further her desire to work with the physically challenged, Maureen decided to fulfill a lifelong dream five years ago and became licensed in prosthetics and orthotics. “I have learned from the best so why not practice it.”

She does admit however that her passion for treating the physically challenged stems from years of living with a family member who faces these challenges. “Growing up with a special needs brother has somehow bestowed a special gift to me and my family. He is the glue that has kept my family together”!

In addition to seeing patients, Maureen will go the extra step to insure the best treatment for the patient. Whether it means speaking to the doctor, or accompanying patients to interviews for assistance, she will go to bat for you and turn it into a home run!!!!
