Diane first came to The Ortho Remedy as a patient in 1987. She became an amputee in 1972, and has faced many challenges managing her life as an amputee.
She and Tom began the
PACCE Program in April 2001 after many discussions about the problems and frustrations
amputees and their families face as they try to deal with their situation, find out about their options, and make
informed choices about their care and rehabilitation.
Diane, a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, graduated from Bergen Community College in 1975 with a degree in Medical Office Assisting.
She has worked in physicians' offices for 25 years. Working in the medical field has given her a unique
understanding of the many facets of the care and rehabilitation of people who have had amputations. She has
experienced most of the obstacles and frustrations that new amputees face, and offers the people she sees hope and encouragement
as they work to resume their lives and reach their full potential.
Diane was married in 1976, has two children and one granddaughter.
